Terms, privacy
and what we own.
Plain-language summaries at the top of each section. The legal text is in the appendix.
Terms of service
By using Narrio you accept these terms. The OS is licensed to you, not sold. You can leave any time and take your subscribers, drafts, and reputation graph with you.
1.1 Who can use Narrio
You must be 18+ and have the right to publish under your name. Communities targeting minors or providing regulated financial / medical advice require additional disclosures, set per-community.
1.2 The four-seat rule
Every user has exactly four narrative slots: one Lead role + up to three Contributor roles. The cap is technical and contractual. Attempts to circumvent (sub-accounts, role-trading) terminate access without refund.
1.3 Cancellation
Operators can cancel any time from the backoffice. Active communities remain online with full data export for 30 days. Contributors can pause or release seats at will.
Privacy
We collect what's necessary to run the OS: account, payout, content interactions, and (with consent) subscriber email lists. We never sell data, never share with ad networks, never train external models on community content without explicit per-community opt-in.
2.1 Data we collect
- Account: name, email, country, tier.
- Content: drafts, intelligence, reviews — visible inside the community.
- Engagement: open rates, replies, sponsor clicks (aggregated to operator only).
- Payouts: Stripe-grade KYC where required by jurisdiction.
2.2 Where data lives
EU (Frankfurt + Dublin) primary; US (Virginia) for US payouts. SOC 2 Type I as of Q1 2026; Type II audit in flight.
What we own — and don't
The platform and the OS are ours. Your community, your editorial, your subscribers, and your reputation belong to you. Narrio holds operating licenses, not ownership.
3.1 Subscribers
Lead Editor owns the subscriber list. Narrio holds a non-exclusive license to operate it during the engagement; it terminates at offboarding. Full CSV export at any time.
3.2 Editorial
Contributors own what they write under the editorial-disclosure terms. Narrio holds a license to publish and syndicate while you're on the platform.
3.3 Reputation
Your reputation graph is yours. We export it as a signed JSON at offboarding so other platforms can verify it; we publish the schema openly.
Editor disclosure
Every Lead Editor signs an annual disclosure: positions, holdings, employer relationships, sponsor history. Updated quarterly. Material breaches → automatic reputation reduction + community review.
Payouts
Monthly on the 5th. Stripe Connect / SEPA / direct deposit per region. KYC is mandatory above €600/yr cumulative payout, per EU rules.
Exit & data export
On request, within 7 business days: subscriber list (CSV + double opt-in proof), drafts (Markdown + HTML), sponsor history (CSV), payout records (PDF + CSV), intelligence corpus (Markdown), reputation graph (signed JSON). No fees, no negotiation, no exceptions.
