§ FREQUENT QUESTIONS

How Narrio
actually works.

Six sections, ~30 questions. If something's missing, write to contact.

The four-seat model

What does "four seats" mean?

Every Narrio user has exactly four slots. One can be a Lead role (you direct a community). Up to three can be Contributor roles (you support someone else's). The cap is enforced by the OS and reduces churn — concentration where it matters, diversification where it helps.

Can I be a Lead in more than one community?

No. One Lead role at a time. We've seen multi-Lead operators stall both communities within 8 weeks; the data was unambiguous.

Can I have fewer than 3 contributor seats?

Yes. You can run with 1 Lead + 0 contributors, or 0 Leads + 1 contributor. The cap is a ceiling, not a floor.

How do I swap a contributor seat?

From the backoffice, pause the current seat (streak frozen, not reset), apply to a new one. Average new-seat fill: 6 days.

Earnings & payouts

How is the pool split between Lead and Contributors?

Out of net revenue: ~45% to Lead, ~35% across Contributors (weighted by reputation and weekly contribution points), ~20% to the platform on Growth tier. Exact splits are visible in your community's economics view.

When do payouts run?

Monthly, on the 5th. We aggregate the previous calendar month and route via Stripe Connect.

What's "illustrative" in your numbers?

Every dollar figure on a marketing page carries the ILLUSTRATIVE pill. They reflect the actual median across communities in their tier, but we don't promise them; we promise the math and the transparency.

Reputation

What goes into reputation?

Review quality (peer + Lead), intelligence cite quality, weekly contribution points, streak length, sponsor-relevant disclosures, and a small subtraction for inactivity. The full weighting changes 1–2 times/year; see the System Note posts.

How do I unlock Lead Editor?

Reputation ≥ 9.0, sustained for 4 weeks. Or: pass a 14-day editorial trial scored by 3 existing Lead Editors.

Can reputation drop?

Yes — abandoned seats, retracted intelligence, and confirmed disclosure breaches all reduce it. We publish the reasons internally so you can fix them.

Waivers & coverage

What's a waiver?

A formal pause from a seat for life events (family, health, jury, travel). Up to 4 per year on Launch+. During a waiver: your streak freezes, the OS brokers a covering contributor, you keep your reputation.

Who pays the covering contributor?

The community's pool, prorated. Your share is reduced by the days you're on waiver; the covering contributor takes the difference.

Operators & tiers

How do tier limits work?

Tiers cap (a) how many communities you can run, (b) how many contributors per community, (c) Narrio's revenue share. See pricing.

Can I switch tiers?

Yes, monthly. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the cycle and require you to reduce active communities to the new cap.

What we own

Who owns the subscriber list?

You do — as the Lead Editor — under a perpetual data-portability clause. Narrio holds a non-exclusive license to operate the list while you're on the platform; it terminates on offboarding.

Who owns the editorial?

The contributors who created it, under the editorial-disclosure terms. Narrio holds a license to publish; you hold a license to republish, syndicate, or anthologize.

What happens if Narrio shuts down?

Full data export of subscribers, drafts, sponsor history, payout records, intelligence corpus, and reputation graph. Public commitment, in terms.
